The Roux Institute at Northeastern University
Portland, Maine
Business can be one of the most powerful tools for solving the challenges facing our communities and planet.
Join founders, investors, students, nonprofit leaders, and changemakers from across the country for the second annual Day of Impact—a gathering focused on the future of impact investing, social enterprise, climate innovation, and purpose-driven business.
Hosted by Orange Bike Brewing Company, Gratitude Railroad, and the Roux Institute, this full-day symposium features inspiring speakers, founder stories, investor panels, and meaningful conversations about building companies that create lasting value for people, communities, and the planet.
At Orange Bike, we believe business should be measured not only by what it earns, but by what it gives back.

Orange Bike Brewing Company and WMPG Community Radio are teaming up for a month-long celebration of Maine music, community, and local impact. Every Friday in August, WMPG broadcasts LIVE from Orange Bike from 5:00–7:00 PM, bringing great music, interviews, and community stories straight from the tasting room.
Each week we'll spotlight two local nonprofit organizations, giving them a chance to connect with the community, share their mission, and raise funds. A portion of the evening's activities also helps support WMPG, one of Maine's most beloved independent community radio stations.
Come grab an award-winning gluten-free craft beer, meet incredible nonprofit partners, enjoy live music and radio, and help us build a stronger community, one pint at a time.

New Beer Release - Cream Ale
We're excited to release a new beer this Friday: our Cream Ale, brewed in collaboration with the Southern Maine Homebrewers Club.
This light ale has a dry finish balanced by subtle sweetness from malted corn. It's made with millet, rice, quinoa, malted corn, and oats, and hopped with Willamette.
It's been a while since our last new release, and we're glad to bring this one to the taproom, with a few more coming this fall.
Brewing Business for Good: Tom Ruff at IU Ventures
Join IU Ventures for a Founders & Funders conversation with Orange Bike Brewing founder and CEO Tom Ruff. An Indiana University alumnus whose father taught at IU for more than 30 years, Tom’s story came full circle when IU Ventures invested in Orange Bike during its earliest days, taking a chance on both the company and the founder behind it.
Tom will share the journey of building Portland’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery, the challenges of launching and scaling a mission-driven business, and the importance of having investors who believe in a vision before it is fully realized.
