INGRID BISCHOFF
First Friday Art Walk with Ingrid Bischoff of icky beads
Join us for Portland’s beloved First Friday Art Walk as we welcome local artist Ingrid Bischoff and her one-of-a-kind jewelry line, icky beads.
Ingrid’s love for beadwork began in the 60s and 70s, when she spent her childhood making daisy chains with her sister and neighborhood friends. Decades later, that same nostalgic joy inspired her to create necklaces that feel playful, personal, and rooted in memory.
Each icky beads necklace is a vibrant mix of vintage and antique beads—treasures with their own past—paired with special findings and the occasional modern bead in a bold or unexpected hue. No two pieces are alike, and that’s just how Ingrid likes it. Handmade with heart, her necklaces are designed to feel whimsical, nostalgic, and wonderfully unique—like something you might’ve made as a kid, but better.
Come meet Ingrid, explore her collection, and find a necklace that makes you smile.

Summer Story Telling Series
The Maine Irish Heritage Center Presents: An Evening of Irish Storytelling
At Orange Bike Brewing
Portland, Maine | 6:30–7:30 PM
The Maine Irish Heritage Center is bringing the cherished Irish tradition of storytelling to Maine this summer!
In days gone by, neighbors would gather in the local céilí house — the home of a storyteller — to share conversation, songs, and stories passed down through generations. These gatherings built community and helped preserve the culture and values of the Irish people.
We invite you to join us for an evening of stories, songs, poems, and connection.
Bring something to share — or just come to listen and enjoy the company.
Host: Cathy Furness
Story Guidelines:
Stories, songs, or poems should be 10 minutes or less
A timekeeper will help keep the evening flowing
No hate speech — creative freedom is encouraged, but kindness and inclusivity are essential
All are welcome — come to share, or simply to listen and enjoy an evening among friends (or friends-in-the-making).
Let’s build community, one story at a time.
These outdoor events are part of MIHC’s mission to celebrate storytelling across Maine while supporting local businesses and gathering spaces.

Hops: None
Glassware: Belgian
Tastes like: Champagne, berries, lemon zest
This is more than a new release. It’s a reflection of our values.Fonio supports women-led smallholder farms, food sovereignty, and climate resilience.
And thanks to the leadership of Chef Pierre Thiam, Garrett Oliver, and the Fonio Rising initiative, this ancient grain is reshaping the future of inclusive, sustainable brewing.
Now pouring in the tasting room all holiday week.
Come taste what craft can become—beyond beer.
